Meet Brian
Hard work shaped his life.
Service guides it.

Brian Burley is a Trustee on the Huntington Beach City School District Board and a candidate for Huntington Beach City Council.
Raised in a small Michigan town, Brian learned the values of hard work, faith, and perseverance from his parents. His father worked as a forklift operator, while his mother balanced work as a waitress and an accountant.
When his mother came to California for cancer treatment at City of Hope, Brian's life changed. After her passing, he worked his way out of poverty, determined to honor her strength and build a life rooted in purpose and service.
Brian earned his undergraduate degree in Political Economy from the University of Southern California and went on to complete three master's degrees at USC—in Public Policy, Digital Media Management, and Emergency Management.
His career spans information technology and higher education, with a focus on improving systems, strengthening institutions, and serving the community.
